Educational organisations

The Leys School

This Methodist residential school for boys & girls was founded in 1875 by the Weslyan Methodist Conference. Over the years it has evolved from being a small, boys' boarding school to become now a co-educational community of 530 boarders and day pupils aged 11 - 18 years.

St Faith's School is a linked prep school, with the same governing body.

Both schools are committed to a broad education of body, mind and spirit, emphasising the importance of the individual within a strong and supportive school community. The Methodist Conference appoints five of the Governors, and receives an annual report on the Schools' progress.

The Vine School

The Vine Inter-Church Primary School, promoted by the Anglican and Methodist Churches, opened its doors for the first time in September 2005. The name 'The Vine' (John, chapter 15) was chosen to share our vision of Christ as the one at the centre of growth and of God's spirit working in the school producing good fruit in the lives of the children. The Vine is a neighbourhood school with a Christian character. As a Voluntary Aided Church School, 8 of the governors are representatives from the Anglican, Methodist and local Churches.

Wesley House Methodist Theological College

Wesley House is a community of Methodist scholars and students at the heart of the University city of Cambridge. Since 1921 it has been a gateway for students in the Wesleyan tradition into the excellent resources for learning in the University of Cambridge, and since 1972, to the shared resources of the Cambridge Theological Federation (below).

The Cambridge Theological Federation

A unique collaboration within Cambridge University between Anglican, Reformed, Catholic, Orthodox and Methodist communities of prayer and study).

The Cambridge Student Methodist Society (or MethSoc) is a welcoming, friendly group of Christian students who meet for worship, fellowship, and study, with much emphasis on faith and fun!
